Sister Mala Begum is widow who lives in Bangladesh (Sylhet) with her 2 daughter and young grandchildren. Hurriya met the family in November 2024 and saw the condition of their current house, which is in a very bad state and no family should be living in that condition. Their house is made of soil and tin, which is not sufficient to keep out the rain especially during the monsoon season.

Sister Mala begum is the only bread winner in the house, she has no formal education, which means she works as a laborer, earning anything between £2 to £3 per day, which is not guaranteed every day.

Hurriya has made a pledge to build them a new house in January 2025 Inshallah. The house will be constructed with bricks and tin roof. The house will consist of 2 bedrooms, family bathroom and a kitchen

The cost to complete this project will be approximately cost £3500
