Dear Neighbours,
Update: 94 Flats at Palmeira Ave/Cromwell Road
Thanks to your generous donations, Hove Gold fundraised enough to submit a set of professionally prepared documents (created by John Sneddon) to refute the appeal. These documents, as well as John's credentials and reputation, gives us a far greater chance of being successful and blocking the 94 flats application. We sent you a copy of those documents on the 11th of November.
The Appeal Hearing: 14th Dec
The date for the Appeal hearing (an in-person meeting in Brighton) is 14th of Dec. We have engaged John Sneddon to represent us at the hearing to give us a much higher chance to fight this appeal; with John reinforcing the message from his letter and reacting to technical issues and questions that commonly arise.
John has stressed the importance that local residents should also attend the meeting in person as we have the right to make additional comments (like the huge impact of all proposed developments on the area, parking, impact of building work …). If you're available please join us (details tbc)
Fundraising: We still need your help
It continues to be absolutely amazing to see how our neighbourhood is coming together to fight this completely unsuitable development and help to pay for the costs. We have already received some generous additional donations but have around £1500 to reach our target. We realize that this is a difficult time just before Christmas and prices going up everywhere but would be grateful for every donation. Can you spare £10, £20, £40 or more to help save Hove from developers? Please donate here
With all our best wishes and hope that this appeal will be dismissed!
Thank you again for all your support
