Orphans in Himalayan Children’s Home

“Namaste everyone ….✨ I am currently helping out the Himalayan Children’s Home Care orphanage by raising funds to build a house in Nepal. As some of you might know, I volunteered at this orphanage in 2014 for 2 months. During this time I was privileged to work at the orphanage and spent time with the children and Lama Pasang. It was the most humbling experience to see caring, loving and happiness of them all. The children originated from one of the poorest, most isolated areas called Mustang of Nepal, itself is one of the poorest countries in the world.

I am now planning to go back next year to help build this new home for the orphanage. I will be working directly with Lama Pasang, a Tibetan Lama from a local Buddhist Monastery. We hope to begin constructing their new home building in 2018. So with this deep wish in my heart I would like to reach out to my own personal friends and family and any of your friends, colleagues and family who feel inspired to provide help to this worthy cause by generously donating which receives my deepest humble appreciation  for all your contributions large or small, it all makes a difference. Together we can build this dream for the needed children.

The children’s current home in Pokhara was founded in 2006 and is run by Lama Pasang, who works tirelessly to raise funds and sponsorships for the children, in the hope of giving them a better education. His vision is to give them a chance to be independent, to survive in the outside world and enable them to find employment when it is time for them to leave. The Himalayan Children’s Care Home has 52 children flourishing under Lama’s care. His aim is to build a home to accommodate and take another 25 of the poorest children from remote villages in Upper Mustang, to give them care, guidance and hope for the future. The children are ranging from 5 – 14 years in age. The current home is increasingly unable to support their needs. There are only 2 toilets and 2 showers for the children to share. The children are always in queue for the toilets and showers, and with the limited supply of water from the city it is difficult for the children to shower more than once or twice a week, and in the heat and dirt of Pokhara, this poses health concerns.

In 2013 through some recent fundraising Himalayan Children’s Home Care managed to make enough money to buy some land that is closer to the schools that the children attend (which, if they moved to, would eliminate the half an hour walk to and from school that children as young as four have to do every day). They have drawn up a building plan of the structure they want to build on this land, which would grant the children more space to sleep, play, bathe and eat. Himalayan Children’s Home Care have had many requests in recent years from families in Upper Mustang to take on their children, but due to lack of space they have, regrettably, had to turn them away. However this new space would allow them to take on a further 28 more children in a much more manageable fashion.

WE NEED TO RAISE $300,000 TO BUILD A NEW HOME ON THE LAND NOW OWNED THAT WILL HOUSE UP TO 80 CHILDREN. We need to raise funds urgently to make this a reality for their future, so any help is very much appreciated.

Please OPEN UP YOUR BEAUTIFUL & BOUNTIFUL HE♥️ART and help us to donate towards this desperately needed new building. We are ever grateful for whatever donations you can offer, big or small, as everything helps. Please donate through this GoFundMe link where all donations are tax deductible.

You may also purchase a new room within Himalayan Children’s Home Care, and forever be the namesake of the room of your choice, honoured and appreciated by the children through the years. If you, or your organisation are interested in being the donor of a particular room, please let me know which room you would like to buy and what you would like the plaque to read.
The options for room sponsorship are as follows:
Bedrooms:6 boys’ bedrooms6 girls’ bedrooms2 supervisor
bedrooms3 Lama Pasang’s family room
Per room USD $7218.33.

Thank you so much in advance for your consideration and compassion. Without your generosity, we would not be able to continue to help so many. With your help, I know we can make a difference for those in need, who will have their lives changed for the better. “May All Sentient Beings Be Free from Suffering” #LokahSamastahSukhinoBhavantu Much L♥️VE L✨GHT Libania - Lotus Love Light
