The Hill Street Dog Park Community Coalition (HSDPCC) is a volunteer-led group working to ensure decisions about our park reflect actual use, community input and transparent information from the City.

Since July, we’ve printed and laminated signs, built hillstreetdogpark .ca, organized a petition and community vote, collected hundreds of park-use observations, produced reports and maps, pursued City records about the new small-dog area.

So far, these costs have largely been paid out of one volunteer's pocket and we really would like to pay him back. We’re aiming to raise a total of $500: $250 to reimburse what has been spent thus far and another $250 to help cover future expenses and continue this work.

The costs have included:

* Printing, signs, laminating sheets, zip ties $35

* Website domain, hosting/infrastructure: $170.58

* Google online services: $23.01

* TinyURL community/data links: US$18.08

* Current City FOI fee: $41

* Community voting buttons: $30

No one is being paid for their time. All funds will be used for Coalition expenses. We will provide links to records on the website to ensure transparency.

We support keeping a dedicated small-dog area while working toward a layout that better reflects park use, safety, accessibility and community needs.
