She came to the U.S. legally. They still took her.
My wife Gabriela was detained by ICE for 7 months —no charges, no criminal record, no bond hearing. Just gone.
We did everything right.
She entered legally. We got married. We were following the process.
Then one night, after a minor situation where no charges were even filed, ICE stepped in and took her anyway. And kept her.
For months, she sat in detention while we fought a system that wouldn’t even give her a chance to come home.
At one point, we were told our only options were: * She stays locked up for over a year… * Or we leave the United States completely.
That was our reality.
We drained everything fighting for her - Legal fees. Court filings. Survival.
And somehow… we made it. Gabriela is finally home.
But now we’re facing the part no one sees.
While we were fighting to bring her back: * Work stopped * Bills didn’t * Everything we had is gone.
Right now, we’re just trying to stabilize: * Keep a roof over our heads * Catch up on rent * Get her basic transportation so she can work again.
I hate asking for help like this, But after everything we’ve been through, the truth is — we can’t do this part alone.
If you can donate, even $1, it helps more than you think. If you can’t, please share this. That alone can change everything.
Gabriela is home because people showed up.
We’re just asking for a little help getting back on our feet.
Thank you for standing with us ❤️ — Brandon
