The Playpen Studio is a creative safe haven & event space where media, movement and imagination all come together. We built The Playpen Studio from the ground up as first-time owners with one dream in mind: to create a safe, affordable, and inspiring space for Atlanta’s artists, dancers, musicians, and creators. We opened our doors with little to no help or funding. We poured our life savings into this space, and truthfully we’re struggling just to cover basic costs, but we believe in our vision and in the creative community we’re building.

Every dollar we had went into rent, gear, renovations, and creating a welcoming environment for our community. We’ve been working day and night—booking sessions, hosting classes, planning events—just to keep the lights on. Yet with rising costs, overdue bills, looming deadlines, and the constant pressure to make ends meet, we’re falling behind. Having our own studio has always been our common dream and we’ve embraced the challenges that come with this path, staying transparent, goal-driven, and true to ourselves through it all.

We are reaching out because we need your support and help to keep this dream alive. We’ve started a GoFundMe campaign to help cover costs, and we are actively seeking sponsors, investors, or partnerships that share our vision — whether through donations, exchanges of services, or simply spreading the word. Your donation will help us:

•Pay off mounting bills and debts

•Offer affordable company tuition

•Upgrade and maintain essential studio equipment

•Cover rent and utilities to avoid eviction
