My sweet 3-year-old niece, Olivia, is bravely fighting a serious and unexpected illness. After returning from a beach vacation Olivia developed severe, unexplained bruising on her arm.

Doctors originally suspected necrotizing fasciitis caused by Vibrio, but her blood culture came back negative. She did test positive for Adenovirus, so her symptoms could be a very rare reaction from the virus.

Doctors are now working around the clock to determine the cause of her illness and assess the full extent of the damage to her skin and tissue. Every moment is critical as Olivia fights to recover.

Olivia’s loving parents, Dayton and Madison, are focusing all their energy on supporting their little girl, while also facing the heavy financial burden of lost income from missed work and the many unexpected expenses that come with an extended hospital stay.
