On August 6th, 2025, my family’s life changed in an instant. That day was especially heartbreaking because it was also my sister Berenice’s birthday. My dad, Angel, my mom, Maria, and my sister, Berenice, were involved in a terrible car accident at Mill Plain Boulevard and SE 160th Avenue in Vancouver, WA. They were driving in the White Jeep.
The crash left my dad with a fractured knee, ankle, and a torn ligament in his right leg unable to walk for weeks possibly months. My mom is covered in bruises, dealing with Trauma and can barely walk. My sister Berenice was thrown 10-20 feet from the vehicle, suffering fractures to her pelvis, hips, spine, and neck. She faces two major surgeries and the risk of not being able to walk again.
The aftermath has been overwhelming. Both my parents and Berenice will be unable to work for months as they recover. I have a brother with special needs and a younger sister who is only 11, so the responsibility of supporting our family now falls on me. We are facing mounting medical bills, mortgage payments, physical and emotional therapy costs, and everyday expenses. The emotional toll is heavy, and we are doing our best to stay strong and grateful for our lives, but the uncertainty of the coming months is daunting.
Any support from our community would mean the world to us. Your help will go directly toward medical care, therapy, and keeping our family afloat while we navigate this difficult time. We appreciate every donation, share, and message of encouragement as we work toward healing and recovery.
