Hello my name is Quinten, I’m starting this go fund me to help raise money for my dad who lives in Hamilton Missouri, Hornet country. That guy on the left is him, Kent. My dads house that he bought when I was a baby burned down today 11/24/24. I grew up here, had many firsts here, many friends over here, many memories here and always had a place to call home here. (See below for more info on my dad and the house)

He does have insurance but is heavily under insured to the point where I know In todays market he will never be able to replace his home. Not just the Insurance being no where near being able to replace the home but practically everything of importance in the house is ruined or destroyed. Yes those items are replaceable but my dad and step mom also lost majority of their pets in the fire. 4 cats and two dogs have passed with one dog making it out alive.

I wanted to put more for the goal. I really did, because my dad deserves it. For those who don’t know my dad, I really wish you did. For those who do know my dad then you know this is all true. He is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and greets everyone with a smile. For my dad, no person is lesser than him. Humble is an understatement. He always sees the good in people, gives grace to everyone and is willing to help anyone. My dad has always done everything for everyone around him and asked for nothing in return. He’s the type of dad who would never miss a sporting event if you were playing and even if you weren’t. Many of you have seen him cheering you or your kids on as well as others on opposite teams. He worked his whole life to provide for his family but also to make sure that he gave time to his family any time it was needed. He is an avid Christian and attends church every Sunday and rarely misses. He never has a bad thing to say about anyone no matter how much wrong they have done to him. He is a very “look on the bright side” type of guy and leaves things in gods hands. Not only is he a great dad, he’s a great grandpa of 4 grandkids. I could go on and on about my dad and I really hope this goal is met, in fact I hope it’s exceeded because he really does deserve the world. He was supposed to retire this year but I know he will work the rest of his life if he feels like he has to. I really want him to be able to enjoy life and I feel so sick that everything he worked for went up in smoke today. Making a bunch of money was never a priority for my dad, his friends, family and being kind to others have been his primary focus in life. He is an avid Chiefs fan, Hamilton hornets fan and a car enthusiast (Mopars). He enjoys golfing, playing with his grandkids and watching sports. He has always reminded me that we should be thankful for all that god has created for us and enjoys the sights of nature in awe.

I hope I can smash this goal for him. I feel so blessed to call this man my father and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Now it’s time to give it to god and hope for the best and hopefully take the financial burden off of him as well as my step mom. Proceeds will go to a new home.
