Donation protected
10/11/2024
Jen, Mitch and Maddie want to thank everyone again for your generosity!
They are truly blown away by the out pouring of donations and love!
Please keep sharing this Go Fund Me post as they are in the midst of applying for insurance coverage, clearing out the river house now that the water has receded.
Fortunately they can continue to live with Mitch’s step mom and in time they will figure out where their next home is going to be!
Thank you all again, and please keep sharing this post and ask you friends and family to do the same!
Light, Love and prayers for better days ahead,
Jen, Mitch and Maddie
Thank you everyone who donated. Your generosity is helping Jen and Mitch in the first few days after their devastating loss .
fortunately they are able to stay with family but since they left with only the clothes they were wearing, they are now able to get some of the things that are needed urgently.
Both Jen and Mitch are able to continue with their jobs and in addition to that they have started the tedious and confusing process of dealing with flood and homeowners insurance.
thank you all again for helping this sweet young family and if you could please share the “ Go Fund Me “ page with your friends we will hopefully all be able to help them some more!
Be well and be safe

Thank you for all who donated already, here is a photo of Mitch and Jen’s property taken on Saturday

My name is Hanneke. My husband Chuck and I moved to N.C. in 2017.
One of the first couples we befriended were Gina and Josef.
Over the years, we have become like family.
Their daughter Jennifer moved to Lake drive near Riverside Dr. in Mount Holly, NC in 2023.
Last Thursday, Jen, Mitch, and their baby Maddie had to evacuate their little river house due to the threat of flooding from Hurricane Helene.
They left with Maddie, 2 dogs, 2 cats, their computers, along with a few bare necessities.
They expected to be back in their house, which Mitch had been tirelessly working on, by this weekend.
Sadly, nature had different ideas, and their sweet river house is now totally underwater.
They have each other, little Maddie, and their animals, but everything else is gone!!
If you are thinking of donating to any of the victims of this horrendous Hurricane Helene, I hope you will consider helping Jen, Mitch, and Maddie along with Luna, Harley, Tuna, and Marlin.
Donations will be used for basic necessities like clothing and baby supplies.
Thank you so much. Horrific events like this really make us count our blessings!
