My family is facing a difficult transition after my mom was detained by ICE about a month ago. She was the heart of our family coffee shop, a business we started together with hope and determination. She poured her heart into the coffee shop, showing up early and staying late to make sure everything was running smoothly. She is a kind, hardworking, gracious, and warm person who always made everyone who walked into Buenos Dias Coffee feel welcomed.
Unfortunately, we are now closing the coffee shop, as we will all be moving to Mexico when my mom is deported. This has been a heartbreaking decision, but we are doing our best to support each other through it. We poured a great deal of our savings into opening the coffee shop, but it was not given the time to become profitable. Last year, we invested even more by renovating the space and purchasing new equipment, which left us with significant debt. Now, with my mom's legal situation and the uncertainty ahead, we are struggling to cover lawyer fees, pay off the coffee shop debt, and prepare for starting over in Mexico. The financial strain has been overwhelming, and we are reaching out for help to make this transition a little easier on our family.
We greatly appreciate any support you're able to give. Whether that's sharing this post on your social media or giving $1. We are truly blessed to have such a caring community that has come to support our family and the coffee shop. Your generosity will help us cover legal expenses, settle some of our debts, and give my mom a chance to rebuild her life in Mexico. Thank you for being there for us during this challenging time.
