Help us build a Masjid in Worcester

Greetings and Assalam U Alaykum

This funding request is especially dedicated to Worcester Muslim Welfare Association (WMWA) - a local charitable organisation based in Worcester. We have been serving the local Muslim community since 1979. From small humble beginnings, WMWA is now the largest Muslim organization in Worcester and surrounding areas.

We are proud to lead an Islamic community for worship, Islamic Knowledge, and Islamic Education. We support our vibrant Muslim and Non-muslim community by offering the following:

Worcester has a growing Muslim community; there are around 4500 Muslims in Worcester. Through this fundraiser, we are raising funds to build a new Masjid here because the community has outgrown the existing Masjid. Currently, just 450 people can pray in this Masjid.

On busy occasions such as during Islamic events, our space becomes very limited and we face many challenges in accommodating an extra number of people. As a result, we often have to use the outside area to accommodate people. In addition, there is no provision for our sisters to pray.

The new masjid will have a capacity of 1000 people with dedicated space for our sisters. The Masjid will become a community hub with room for everyone to benefit spiritually and mentally. We aim to provide local Muslims and non-Muslims with the opportunity to learn and understand Islam through dialogue, discussion, and social interaction. This project will help contribute to the community's social, cultural, spiritual, and economic enhancement. Here are some CGI aminated images of the new Masjid:

Alhamdulillah phase 1 has been completed for our project. Some images of it are shown below:

The work completed so far is groundworks and steel structure.

PHASE 2 work

With your help to date, we have raised nearly £1.3 million. Your donation through this platform will help complete phase 2,3 and phase 4. We need to raise £500,000 this year to make masjid watertight and have phase 2 fully completed. Once this phase is finished we will be Alhamdulillah 50% complete and very close to InshAllah praying in this beautiful house of Allah.
