Help Save Newton Farmland!

Ever noticed cows in open fields off the 219? For over 200 years, there have been Newtons living and farming on Newton Road in Orchard Park, NY (Home of the Buffalo Bills). Since the early 1800s, our family tree has been deeply rooted in this exact location on Newton Road. Our father, Chuck Newton, has been farming beef cattle and raising crops on this farm his entire life. We are his four daughters, the sixth generation raising the seventh, and we are desperately trying to keep our family's generational land intact as a working farm.

Our family has been renting a portion of the original farmland for decades. Due to a sudden change of circumstances, we now have a very small and time-sensitive window to purchase these essential acres before it is too late. Failure to acquire these crucial pastures and crop lands would be devastating to our family, livestock, and farming future.

In recent years, as homes and developments have been on the rise, agricultural land has been disappearing around us. While it is always hard to witness any loss of agricultural land, it is truly terrifying to think it could now be our farm that is lost forever. In short, we would have to say goodbye to the beef cows and possibly our entire farming operation if we do not succeed.

With great reservation and reluctance to publicly share our private hardships, we are asking for financial help. Residing in Orchard Park, the price to keep the original land together is over $600,000 and is unattainable for us alone. We are asking with urgency and prayers for generous donations to preserve the beef cows, our generational land, and an old farmer's farming legacy.
