Masjid Alhamdulillah is one of the oldest masjids in Queens. It was established 28 years ago in South Jamaica, located at 121-03 Sutphin Blvd, by African American Muslim brothers and sisters, converted from a drug den into a masjid. Being unable to pay the maintenance cost, the property went into auction two years ago. By the Grace of Allah the Al-Mighty, we have already purchased the building back with a down payment of $152k (Qard-e-Hasanah from local brothers) from a total of $995,000.00

Now we need to pay the $152k Qard-e-Hashanah back by the end of this Ramadan.

 

Our mission for this Masjid is to develop not only a Masjid but also an Islamic School for the local community. We intend to build a seminary for adults and children to learn and a community center for the general public to benefit from.
