In March, my sister with no health problems suddenly had difficulty walking. She would fall often and started to lose feeling in her hands. The local ER sent her to St. Mary’s in Duluth due to her concerning symptoms. After countless blood tests, MRI’s, etc., we still have no answer. The best guess is some form of Guillan-Barre syndrome. She is home now, limited to a wheelchair and commode. She’s doing the best to care for herself with the help of her husband and young daughter. This has undoubtedly strained this family not only emotionally and physically but financially. Her husband has to take time off work to accommodate her many appointments along with being the sole provider. Please contribute if you’re able and willing! Thank you!!
