Help Michael get the opportunity of a LIFETIME!

Hi. My name is Peggy Whittaker Register and this fund raiser is for my nephew, Michael Taylor.

Michael Taylor is a graduating senior from Tift County High School in Tifton, GA. Michael is a young man who has had to overcome more adversity than most. His father was left a paraplegic as a result of a traumatic injury when Michael was very young. His mother raised him as a single mom while living with Michael's grandmother and disabled grandfather. One day Michael came home and found his grandmother unresponsive after suffering a massive stroke that led to a massive heart attack and subsequent death. A little less than 2 years later, during Michael's 8th grade year in middle school, he came home to find his mom dead from heart related issues.

Michael's grandfather was not able to support or care for him, however, he has had the support of a wonderful family that took him in as their own and who has strived to make sure Michael succeeded in school, sports and life in general. Michael has persevered through the last 4 years to become an outstanding athlete with starting positions on both the football and soccer teams at TCHS. Michael joined the soccer team during his sophomore season and quickly became one of the top Goal keepers in South Georgia. He pushes himself to always be the best and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He has done all this while maintaining good grades and working as a shift lead at his job.

Very recently, Michael Taylor was presented with the opportunity of a lifetime to train with top international coaches in the ETURE program, which is located in Valencia Spain. This program is a GAP year program, taking less than 40 players a year for this prestigious program. Michael's ability and raw talent was recognized by the coaches from this program who feel as though his potential in the world of soccer is endless with proper training. ETURE will provide Michael with world class training and in turn the opportunity to play, upon completion of the year, at the highest level of college soccer in America and help him pursue his dreams of furthering his soccer career post college. Michael would be one of the first from this area to have this amazing opportunity. The Cost of the program (all inclusive) is $43,500 USD, which is an astronomical amount for this young man. (The total amount of the fundraiser has been increased to $46,000 to allow for the 2.9% fee that will be deducted.)
