Help a veteran and non profit Veterans Organzation
I write this GoFundMe letter in support of a good friend and disabled Vietnam vet. who needs our support in raising fund which will be used in relocating his personal property as well as the property of a local non profit veterans organization which he works closely with and has been associated with for many years. This person has been a resident of Finley for 20 years and a life long resident of the Tri-Cities, Wa. He is now facing a foreclosure of his property by his mortgage lender through no fault of his own. He is well known in our community for his selflessness and his contributions to the veterans organization of our region , the Benton Franklin Mounted Sheriff’s Posse as well as law enforcement.
Approximately 2 years ago, he suffered the devistating loss of his late wife to a home fire which also rendered his home unlivable. Due to an ongoing legal action (through no fault of his own) he is now facing a foreclosure on his property along with the loss of a large sum of money awarded him by his insurance company to rebuild the home. This action brings with it a personal blow as well as a blow to the nonprofit veterans organization he is affiliated with. He is not only a founding member of this group but also shares his property with them to conduct their business meetings and activities as well as provide a place for a host of other veterans who look to this place for camaraderie. This property is also the resting place for the Vietnam Memorial which was originally built in 1992 and placed on the South end of the cable bridge in Kennewick, Wa. which was defaced by vandals and later replaced .
Please help us in raising the necessary funds to support our friend and the veterans organization to deflect the high cost of finding a like property in which to move the Vietnam Memorial to. Our goal is to raise $100.000.00. Thank you in advance for you generosity.
