Last year we did this in Keweenaw County, and each of these blue dots is a sign with a location number that emergency services use to locate anybody who has broken down, is lost, is ill, or is injured. These signs (significantly) reduce response times. Thousands of people use these trails yearly, so please donate if you can.
The Emergency trail location sign project is being used more than ever expected.
Houghton County has over 100 miles of posts and signs up this year, but more posts, signs and mapping need to be done.
A 100% volunteer project.
