My name is Nurse Mohammed Isa, a frontline healthcare worker from Gaza. Since October 7, 2023, my life—and my family’s life—has been completely destroyed by war.
I have continued working day and night in hospitals, treating the wounded and saving lives under bombardment—not for money or recognition, but because it is my duty as a human being and a nurse.
On December 6, 2023, our home in northern Gaza was bombed. In that attack, I lost my two young daughters—Mira (6) and Salma (1½)—and my wife was severely injured. Our home was completely destroyed. Despite unimaginable grief, I returned to the hospital, walking over 15 km daily to continue serving patients.
While on duty, the hospital was bombed again. Seven patients were killed, colleagues were injured, and I suffered a head injury that caused permanent hearing loss. Still, I continued to work.
In May 2024, our shelter was bombed again, leaving us homeless, hungry, and without protection. For months, we struggled to find food or clean water. I lost 25 kg, my wife remains weak from her injuries, and we could not even afford a tent for shelter.
Today, we have lost our home, our children, our health, and our security, but not our hope.
Why We Need Help
We urgently need support to survive and rebuild our lives with dignity. Your help will provide:
Emergency shelter (tents)
Food and clean drinking water
Medical care for my hearing loss and my wife’s recovery
Basic necessities such as clothing, blankets, and hygiene items
How Your Support Helps
Your donation is not charity—it is a lifeline. It allows us to survive, regain stability, and gives me the strength to continue serving others as a nurse while protecting my family.
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a real difference. Every share helps us reach someone who cares.
We are not asking for pity. We are asking for a chance to survive, to stand again, and to rebuild what war has destroyed.
Thank you for giving us hope.
