Give so Billie’s remaining car balance is paid—bring her peace
Hi, my name is Crystal Santos. My sister, Camille Daley and I are fundraising for our AMAZING mom, Billie Hartung, who recently passed away on January 4, 2026 from a rare terminal pancreatic cancer that had spread to her liver.
As many of you know, our mom was kindest, most giving and caring person you could ever meet and despite the seriousness of her condition, she’s still stayed active, kept her sense of humor, and continued to show up for the people she loved!
She was an elder and a retired paralegel of the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes. Through the 25 years of working there, it taught her that giving was one of the most important things a person could offer.
She’s chose to focus on quality of life rather than aggressive treatments like chemotherapy. This was not an easy decision, but she wanted her remaining time to be as peaceful and comfortable as possible.
We were able to pay almost everything off, but we are still short $2500 for the rest of her car. As you all know, she was so very proud of her car because it was hers.
