Help us adopt a baby from India & share the love

Donation protected
Dear kith and kin...it has been a longstanding dream of ours to adopt a baby from India. We started the process in Canada before we were blessed with Daya. We temporarily halted it as she grew into toddlerdom and we moved back to Minneapolis. Now that Daya is 3+ and we're settled into our new home, with a wonderful, nurturing community of loved ones around us - we're ready to move forward earnestly and lovingly with the process.

And, oh boy, what a process it is...

For starters, it is expensive (hence, you know, this fundraising campaign). Like $40k expensive taking into account US Country Fees, India Country Fees, and Third Party Fees. We have to raise at least half to start the process and we plan to raise the rest along the way.

We are financially stable, working-middle class, mortgage owners but nonetheless, we  need to seek the solidarity and donations of our loved ones to help us bring our second child home.

But that's not all...

We want to raise money to adopt our child while also sharing in the love.

We're doubling our target with the hopes of setting up a college fund for our two god-children in India - Prarthana and Isaac - who are the children of our very dear friends, Vipul and Ayesha.

Shree organized with Vipul and Ayesha in the emergency aid camps during the brutal violence their communities faced in 2002. They've maintained a close friendship and love over the years.

Thus, for every dollar donated, 50 cents will go towards our adoption plans and 50 cents will go towards Prarthana and Isaac's college fund in India.

We're keen on ensuring that the amazing talents of ALL our children get a chance to be realized and find fulfillment to the greatest extent we can.

We are grateful and blessed that you took the time to read this and value every little donation. Furthermore, once our child is with us, we hope to keep the campaign running with future donations going towards a local Twin Cities rape crisis center.

In short, we're not just seeking donations but looking to build a nurturing community with this campaign.

Much peace and love to you all,

Sus, Daya, Shree (not to mention our furry animal loved ones, Faiz, Molly, and Marley)

PS: please spread the word and link with us on social media...we hope to keep the campaign alive with short videos of us singing, dancing, cooking, and other quirky life activities!
