I am very saddened to share that my dad's prostate cancer from over 20 years ago has returned. His doctors have confirmed that his cancer is in stage 4 and it has metastasized throughout his body. Although he has begun receiving treatment, ALL of his medical insurance claims have been denied (and will continue to be) due to his cancer being deemed as a "pre-existing" condition. In addition, insurance coverage for the extremely high costs of his monthly medications is also being denied.

It's going to take all of my dad's strength AND the necessary treatment to slow down the growth of this cancer; with the deep hope of maintaining any decreased growth. Fortunately, the treatment he has received within this past month is proving to be successful in lowering his PSA levels, which in turn indicates that the growth of the cancer is slowing down. Receiving consistent and regular treatment is going to be essential for maximizing treatment effectiveness in order to achieve the best possible outcome for our dad.

In an effort to help alleviate the substantial financial hardship for my dad and his wife, Koong; I am reaching out to friends, family and others who may be able to help with a donation.
