Help Repair Homes After Winter Storm Uri and Viola

I am Cody Bowman,  a Marine Corps veteran and general contractor in Montgomery County, Texas, and I am helping those in need after the recent freezes left many with busted pipes and homes destroyed.  

I began sourcing material to patch water leaks as soon as I saw sleet and snow falling in Montgomery County but I was not expecting the amount of drastic damage that would be done to my neighbors' lives in the last week. I made a post on Nextdoor that I was "here to help" and the post took off.  After receiving hundreds of calls and helping countless neighbors get their water back on, operating solely on donations, I have realized that many of the people in our community are going to need a lot more help to get their lives back to normal. 

I am asking for $10,000 to repair damage caused by winter storm Uri in the homes of people who otherwise could not afford the repairs. I have so far fixed over 100 leaks and have seen many homes with damage that would leave our neighbors in squalor conditions, without ceilings and with water issues that will lead to mold and health concerns if not dealt with soon. These people and families do not have the means to go anywhere else and so I am asking the members of our community to come together through another tough time and help fix our neighbors' homes.

Though I operate Semper Fi Construction LLC, these funds will not go towards my company or me in any way. I will be offering my general contractor services free of charge to oversee these projects and will be using the funds to pay for materials and for the subcontractors who are doing the work (such as demo, removing drywall, replacing drywall, painting, repiping etc). The home owners chosen for this free repair work may be home owners we have already visited so far or they may come through referrals, which we will be taking through a form on our website at www.semperficonstructionllc.com.
