Help the Muhaisen family Rebuild from Gaza
Donation protected
Hi, and Salam everyone. My name is Juwariah Osman. For those who know me I also go by Julie and some people even know me by my family nickname Juwai. I am from California born and raised.
In 2013 I left California to study abroad at the international university of Malaysia. I met many students from across the globe who became lifelong friends. One of them happened to be Mohammed who studied with me from Palestine.

He just finished getting his PhD in Malaysia and was excited to go home and teach at the University. He was so happy to reunite with his wife and daughter. Weeks later, that same university was bombed and turned everything into rubble along with his home and every other infrastructure.

His home above, before and after
Watching this genocide unfold has been extremely distressing and to hear his first hand experience is devastating.
I myself, am a daughter of Khmer Rouge survivors. My family directly experienced genocide in Cambodia. To see this amount of bloodshed unfold in 2024 is too much on any human’s soul. I cannot look away. I cannot accept this dark side of humanity.
Originally our goal was to get his expecting wife out of Gaza before giving birth but we were not successful in getting the funds before the border closed. As we wait for the border to reopen, our hearts fill with hope again.
This time we are hoping to register the family together in one time so no one has a chance to get separated.

My friend is a new father and all he yearns to do is provide and keep his family safe. His heart is pure and generous. He once happily hosted my little brother in his college dorm in Malaysia and didn’t accept a penny from me. He gave my brother shelter, food and most of all safety. I couldn’t have been more grateful.
If I could help my friend, in any way to evacuate I promised myself I would. Mohammed, his wife Reham Awni , 3 year old daughter Sebah and 1 old newborn Ayah are struggling to survive every moment. Every day they don’t know if they will live another day.
The fair to travel has skyrocketed. He has no access to any resources including his own bank account.
He says, “Just pray for us to live another day until tomorrow.”
Every single cent is going to be given to him and his family to help speed up the travel and find refuge in Egypt. I will send him whatever I can through electronic means necessary. Mohammed has trusted relatives including his brother who resides in Egypt who will be entrusted with the funds to start the registration and evacuation process within Egypt.
Funds Breakdown:
$7,500 just to register for each adult.
Approximately $3000 for each child.
Upon payment, it will take 20 days or so to process evacuation.
These fees are expected to rise once the border opens again.
Anything after meeting the fundraiser goal will be used for them to rebuild their life and get access to basic needs and God willing a path back to Malaysia where they can hopefully permanently reside.
Please find a moment to pray for their safety and pray for a ceasefire.
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
