Thank you for visiting this fundraiser set up to help our brother, Patrick Williams, in his fight against Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma Colon Cancer which metastasized to his liver. After fighting hard for the last 11 months, we just found out that Pat’s cancer has spread to his abdominal wall, so the fight continues...
Patrick was only 39 years old when he was diagnosed, and it all started with a visit to his Primary Dr for intense pain on his right side back in October 2020. After many blood tests, MRIs, CT scans, and a PET scan, Pat was diagnosed with Stage 4 adenocarcinoma colon cancer that mediatized to his liver. The tumor on his liver was shockingly quite large measuring at around 7cm in diameter. Since diagnosis, Pat has gone through SO MUCH including:
- 12 rounds (about 8 straight months) of Chemotherapy
- Radiation
- Liver and Colon Resection surgery on 6/9/21
- An Ileostomy for 3-months
- Surgery to reverse the Ileostomy on 9/1/21
It was during the ileostomy reversal surgery that the Surgeon noticed some abnormal tissue on his abdominal wall, which after resecting and testing it – confirmed that it was more cancer.
This has truly been the most challenging time of both Pat and his family's lives.
Speaking of his beautiful family... Pat is a loving husband to his wife, Gina, for the past 15 years, and a very proud father of two sweet children: Jack (11 yrs) and Abigail (7 yrs). He’s the best son, son-in-law, brother, and brother-in-law that any of us could ever ask for and a great friend to so many. Since Pat has been undergoing treatment, he’s really been struggling physically, mentally, and emotionally. He's had to take short-term disability from work and the medical expenses are truly piling up.
The whole family has come together to support Patrick and stay positive in spite of these unimaginably difficult times.
