My Story from Gaza: Help Us Rebuild Our Lives
Hello, my name is Nidal Zomlot, and I am writing from Gaza, where my family and I are struggling to survive in the middle of relentless war and destruction.
Before the war, I had a normal life with my wife Azhar and our children Omar, Odai, and little Alma. Omar, 10 years old, loves soccer and dreams of becoming a famous player. Odai, 8, dreamed of becoming an architect, building beautiful safe homes just like he used to with his Legos. Our baby Alma, only 18 months old, has never known peace, only the sound of explosions.
Now, all that we had was destroyed in an instant. Our home no longer stands; we lost everything. We are living in constant fear, lacking basic necessities—food, clean water, electricity—and medical care is almost impossible to get here. The health of some of our family members is worsening every day due to this lack.
The situation is heartbreaking. Every day is a fight for survival in Gaza. We live in a temporary shelter that does not protect us from bombs and violence. Our children deserve safety, education, and healthcare, but the war has stolen all these hopes.
We are reaching out now because we need help. We need:
A safe place to live, where our children can sleep without fear
Medical treatment and supplies for those who are sick
Means to escape Gaza and start a new, peaceful life in Egypt or elsewhere
The cost is significant—€35,000—but this amount can save our lives, give our children hope, and restore dignity.
Your donation can change everything. It will provide us with shelter, food, medical care, and a chance for education. It will protect our children from the horrors of war and secure a future free of fear.
We know there are many families suffering in Gaza. But each family’s story matters. This is our story—a family longing for help, safety, and a second chance. Please stand with us.
Help Gaza. Help families like ours. Help us rebuild.
