Help the Target of a Hate Crime in Butte
Donation protected
A few weeks ago, Miki Chessmore had her Butte home vandalized with racist anti-Indian graffiti. This was the latest in a string of events targeting her. In the article about the hate crime, Miki talked about how she didn't have the resources to have her home repainted and that, because of the way these bias-based incidents have escalated, she doesn't feel safe in her own home.
Graciously and heroically, Collins Painting stepped up and repainted her home for free! However, there is still some work that needs to be done to address the safety concerns.
Therefore, we're raising money to help make some repairs to her home, in addition to installing some security measures. Please help us make Miki feel safe in her own home again. Nobody should have to live with this kind of fear!
