Jimmy Taylor is a father of three, a husband, journalist, and an advertiser. He is a man battling terminal Stage IV bone cancer who, after a decade of financial hardship, is fighting for years instead of months to live.

Daily pain. Incurable nausea. Pinched nerves. This is the relentless reality of cancer. Yet, Jimmy is actively working through treatments at Northwestern Medicine to buy that precious time. But now, the time has come to look outward and protect his family. A loving family whose children range from 18 to 24. A family who has endured a slow, debilitating financial collapse for a decade.

A family who, at this time, has no place to call their own. Having lost the home they lived in for 25 years, they desperately need a space where Jimmy can live out his prognosis in peace, surrounded by the people who love him.

A graduate of Oak Park & River Forest High School (Class of 1984) and Southern Illinois University (1988), and a dedicated former employee of the ever-popular Chicago radio station 97.1 The DRIVE, Jimmy has exhausted his means in the name of healthcare and debt incurred to simply survive every day.

We have set a campaign goal of $46,000 to help Jimmy and his family secure housing and ease the crushing burden of these costs.

We can help. You can help. Please consider donating to Jimmy's GoFundMe to help a family find peace as peace eludes them.
