Help Keep Fair Haven Marketplace Thrift Store Open

Our thrift store is facing a major setback! Our landlord has decided to sell the building we have occupied for 11 years. This has us very concerned because there is a real potential that we may have to close our store. This would not only affect our customers, but it would be a major loss for Fair Haven Home for Men. Every month the money that we take in supports the programs that are offered by the Home. In the last 14 years this home has helped over 180 men from all over the country in their journey to addiction recovery. The programs and services that the home provides its residents are offered free of charge in part due to the money that is raised through this thrift store.

For several months we have been exploring the possibility of moving the store to a larger location in St. Stephen. This location would provide us with a much larger retail space and allow us to have warehouse space as well as a career training center under the one roof. When our current location was put up for sale it really put a strain on these plans and made this move more necessary.

We have been exploring several avenues for funding. We have looked into obtaining grants, but there are no grants offered that would allow us to purchase property. There are several grants that have been offered to renovate and setup the new building, but we have to buy the property before we can apply.

Would you take a moment to visit our website, look at what we do, and consider donating to help us stay open. Anything that you can give will be a huge help to get us to the next step on our journey. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this page. Please consider sharing with your friends to help us get the word out!!
