Please Help us keep our house!

Hi everyone,

Although we don't like needing to ask for help, we find ourselves in a predicament that requires more resources than we have on our own. As many of you know, we've been fighting to stay in our home for some time now, and during the last 6 months were finally forced to retain professional legal representation in order to do so. Our savings have now become depleted, yet we still aren't quite at the finish line.

As this is not a normal landlord/tenant situation, we are unable to acquire free legal help. We are dealing with a different type of situation with a family member with interest in the property who would like to sell the house, after the death of our father/grandfather. We are trying to buy his share of the home, however it has been a very long and arduous process and has brought on enormous amounts of stress and very high legal fees.

There is still a good chance that we could be successful, but we just need a little more time and help! And if we aren't successful, we will be in dire need of funds for moving expenses, so either way we would be so grateful for anything you can spare to help us! This has been an extremely difficult time and we are hoping to resolve it as soon as possible so we can have the peace and stability of a home in order to fully live our lives. As you all know, the Bay Area is a very challenging place to be an artist and a student and if we are forced to leave our house, we will most likely need to relocate out of the area, which we don't want to do!

Again, we regret needing to ask for this, especially when there is so much suffering all over the world, but we have tried out best to do this on our own for some time now, and we really just need support from our community.
