Help a family from Gaza live in peace and safety

Hello, My name is Ameen Al-Mashharawi, from Gaza. I am 30 years old. I completed a master’s degree in law at Al-Azhar University in Gaza.

We are all displaced from Gaza City to Rafah, escaping the conflict and searching for the safety that my family and I have lost since 7/10/2023.

After our displacement to the city of Rafah, as it was a safe area by decision of the occupation, we were surprised that the city of Rafah is also an unsafe area, as there is destruction, bombing, killing of children, women, and the elderly, and the most severe crimes. The bombing is repeated every day and every hour. Our lives are threatened at every moment.

During the days of the war, and several days after our displacement from Gaza to Rafah, we received a call from our relatives in Gaza that our house had been completely destroyed. Keeping our house in good condition was our only hope for continuing in this city. Unfortunately, memories and dreams were destroyed. It is now in a state of ruin. Ruined for no reason.

Since the beginning of the war, my family and I have been living without security. We now live in tents due to the difficulty of finding a home to live in the city to which we immigrated as a result of the large number of displaced people in that city. We live very difficult and harsh days without shelter.

Every day the city is subjected to the most severe types of torture. Every day the streets, houses, institutions and mosques are destroyed. There is nothing good left in this city.

After the bombing of our house, we were surprised by the destruction of our shops (Al-Mashharawi Trading Company for Household Appliances and Electrical Appliances) and our main and subsidiary stores. Al-Mashharawi Company has been a company and a trade name for 42 years. All of this was destroyed in inhumane moments. This work was our source of income from which we live. We are without a source of income.

My family and I did not want to continue living in this city, as it does not have the minimum necessities of life, difficulty in obtaining drinking water, high prices, lack of income, and lack of decent living.

We decided to travel to escape this conflict in search of safety, but unfortunately there are large travel costs, as the cost of travel per person amounts to five thousand (5000) US dollars. These coordination costs are nothing but the costs of exiting from Gaza to Egypt, excluding living costs, and of course we do not have This amount.

We have become in a continuous conflict that has no end unless we leave Gaza to live a decent life in safety. Help me live safely.
