Due to family court decisions, Agnes a Canadian mother of two children has found herself at the heart of a complex battle for justice and custody of her children. This has resulted to financial exploitation and eminent coercion, and what Agnes believes to be concealed perjury. Agnes also believes that at the heart of this complex battle is intersectional identities that make her vulnerable and violable in multiple ways, such as racial inequality, gender inequality, ethnicity inequality, and lack of family support here in Canada.

This resulted to further exploitation by way of sale of her personal property, carried out by the ex husband in her absence. While Agnes was away, the ex husband was able to quickly dispose & sell her personal owned property, including (house, personal belongings, valuable documents such as academic achievement records, work achievement records, SIN card, Certificate of citizenship and everything that was in the house).

The ex husband also admittedly paying his family members for several hours at a rate of $20 dollar per hour to assist in all that.

Agnes believes that the way she lost all her personal property's to her ex husband to be fraudulent.

Due to the complexity of the current custody and access arrangements, Agnes is being denied her court ordered access and meaningful parenting to her children. This is not withstanding the fact that she had raised her children for 9years on her own, due to her ex husband's intentional absence. The power and control dynamic includes limiting her court ordered parenting sessions, a pure case of power and control and deliberate contempt of court parenting orders. This is a manipulative tool meant to efface her from her children's life, and tactfully alienating her from the children, and using the same manipulation to exploit her financially. The children under his care continue to experience documented violence that is currently under investigation.

Agnes's biggest obstacle right now is funding for the legal support needed to be able to continue seeing her children. However, she does not qualify for legal aid support, and she is very concerned about the abusive experiences ongoing.

The entire experience has traumatized Agnes and her children too. This is despite the fact that Agnes has always cared for her children with unwavering devotion and love.
