Hi, I am Hatem Al-Najjar. I live in Gaza with my five children, my mother, father, sister, and brother. We have been displaced many times and now live in a small tent. We are being starved to death and do not have fresh water. We are being bombed daily and have no ability to get money for food.

I was shot in the leg while trying to obtain food for my children. It has destroyed my leg, taking inches of bone, preventing me from walking. I need surgery outside of Gaza, but until then I need to support my children. They have only me, as their mother was killed.

Food, medicine, and supplies, if available, are extremely expensive. For example, a mango is 15 Euros per pound. A tent costs 2000 Euros. We have been almost completely abandoned by the world, except for some healthcare workers who come in for some weeks on a rotating basis to help out with little to no supplies nor medicine. We are truly in the most devastating situation a human being can experience.

Please help with any donations. My mother is very ill and needs blood pressure and other medicines to prevent her from dying. Your cup of coffee for a week could buy us some water, so we don't have to drink toxic, salt water. Please do what you can in these tragic times. Thanks and we will be forever grateful.
