Since Oct 7th Massacre by Hamas, we added to our efforts the Bring Them Home campaign.
This GoFundMe was initially opened in 2020 in the first wave of protests against the Indcited Prime Minister Netanyahu, we used back then all the funds we raised to support the Balfour Protests to remove and indicted Prime Minister.
We are now raising another $5000 for media, transportation, signs, sound equipment, and other needs that can help our sisters and brothers to save the Israeli democracy
helping stop Israel from turning into a dictatorship in Israel bring the country to a halt.
What's going on now in Israel?
Israel’s government is moving to eviscerate the independence of our judiciary and remake the country’s democratic identity. That initiative needs to be understood through three lenses: the substance of the proposed changes, the process by which they are being promoted, and the identities of those pushing for the change.
In the past few weeks, tens of thousands of Israelis from both sides of the political map are heading to the streets in protest to stop Netanyahu's government from turning Israel into a dictatorship by implementing.
They are gathering on bridges all across the country and in front of prime minister Netanyahu’s house, calling him to resign and go home. Their signs say ‘Save Israeli Democracy, ‘SOS.IL, and ‘Save our Startup Nation.’
In solidarity with the tens of thousands protesting in Israel against the actions that undermine the democracy of the State of Israel as stipulated in the Declaration of Independence. We, Israeli ex-pats and the world’s Jewry, oppose the following actions of the Israeli government:
- The attempt to institutionalize discrimination and racism
- The attack on the judicial system and its subjugation to politicians. In particular, we oppose attempts to harm the independent status of the Supreme Court of Justice.
- The intention is to harm the independence of the media and the freedom of the press.
- The intention is to turn the Israeli security forces, military, and law enforcement into an instrument of extremist politicians, both within the borders of the State of Israel and in the Occupied Territories.
- We oppose the attempt to change the Law of Return to exclude those who are Jewish but may not fit the antiquated Orthodox definitions.
