Hall Street Summer Love Fest: Saturday, June 7, 2025

This year has been full of challenges, but we’re ready to turn the page, reconnect and reignite the magic of our community. Neighbors on Hall Street are coming together to celebrate with the Hall Street Summer Love Fest, a day of music and connection to strengthen the bonds that make our block the most vibrant, welcoming place to live in all of NYC.

Why We Need Your Help

We want this celebration to be unforgettable, and to do that, we need your help. We want to bring in a stellar lineup of first-rate musicians who reflect the diverse cultures of new New Yorkers living in our community who will be invited to join us.

But music is just the start. We’ll transform the block with lively spaces to gather, connect and create lasting memories.

The Lineup

With your support, we’ll feature four incredible acts:

Slavic Soul Party – High-energy Balkan brass that will get the block dancing
Mafer Bandolas (pending confirmation*) – Venezuelan folk fusion with a modern twist
Salieu Suso – Master of the kora, bringing West African tradition and virtuosity
DJ Tres Dos – Spinning a mix of global sounds that unite and uplift

* Back up acts (if needed):

NYC Afrobeat All Stars - NYC based ensemble playing the socially and politically conscious Afrobeat music of Fella Kuti
El Vapor De Brooklyn - Afro/Puerto Rican percussion and woodwind ensemble

How Your Donation Helps

We’re fundraising to cover the following:

$2,000 = Performance fee for Slavic Soul Party, a fiery multi person brass brand

$1,200 = Performance fee for Mafer Bandola, one of the few women who plays bandola, a 4-stringed traditional instrument related to the mandolin or for the NYC Afrobeat All Stars | El Vapor De Brooklyn

$500 = Performance fee for Salieu Suso, a master Kora player

$500 = Performance fee for DJ Tres Dos, celebrated DJ

$500 = Sound equipment and staging

$1,300 = Parade and decoration supplies to fill the block with color and energy

We've already made it halfway to our goal, but we need you to help us raise the additional $3,000!

Suggested Donation Amounts

 If you’re in a position to give more, we encourage a donation of $100 per household which will provide the foundation for the celebration. If $50 feels more comfortable, that contribution is just as meaningful to help us transform Hall Street into a celebration of culture, music and unity.
