Haircut for the homeless
I haven't gotten a haircut since probably November-December 2019. I'm going to get the lot chopped off! We reckon I have about 16-17 inches of hair which means I can donate the hair to The Rapunzel Foundation in Waterford city who will turn it into a wig for kids undergoing hair loss or chemotherapy. Once I hit the donation target, I'll get my hair cut shortly after.
I'm also the opportunity to raise money in aid of Peter McVerry Trust. Thank you in advance for your contribution, any little bit helps. I sometimes deal with homeless people and homeless services as part of my job, the services Peter McVerry Trusts and similar organisations provide can be literally life saving.
Peter McVerry Trust is a national housing and homeless charity committed to reducing homelessness and the harm caused by substance misuse and social disadvantage. Our vision is an Ireland that supports all those on the margins and upholds their rights to full inclusion in society. The charity provides homeless, housing and support services, primarily to younger people and vulnerable adults with complex needs, and offers pathways out of homelessness based on the principles of the Housing First model.
