My background: Former DoD/DoN employee. Spent 10 years committed to the maintenance of Navy vessels. Now I am a retired/disabled.

Because of my background I am deeply committed to supporting my community, especially those who are displaced, are unhoused, or facing other difficult times. I've lived in Georgia my whole life and I see needs that are not being met by other social programs. My father taught me to always be a good friend and lend a hand where it's needed. He is the man in the picture holding my baby, his only grandchild. He is why I am inspired to help people in need as he always did in his own life. He passed away nearly 2 years ago and that is why I want to start Gunny's Care-avan. My father was a Marine, National Guard, and Air Force. That's where his nickname comes from. I miss him every day and I know he would love this idea.

My goal is to aquire a tear drop camper to help those in need in our community; immigrant, unhoused, veteran, victims of DV, or anyone who needs help. If I can't find a suitable teardrop camper for my medical unit, I will get a large van. With the camper, my SUV will be packed to provide first aid, food, plenty of water, Gatorade, glucose tabs, snacks, and possible a few hot meals, clothes, books (looking for donations of or even protocols of instructions/pamphlets/printouts, or QR stickers. In the med unit there will be shelf stable milk and eye wash solution for pepper spray, Narcan, testing strips, bp checks, an AED (I'm certified), every type of over the counter med, bandage, and wound packing. I will also distribute masks, umbrellas, gloves, hand warmers/neck coolers depending the season, and most of all, comfort to people who need it most.

The love I have for my neighbors drives me to help wherever I can, and I believe that together, we can make a meaningful impact.

With your support, I will be able to purchase supplies for donations, attend local events to offer AED, first aid, CPR, provide essentials like water, hugs, and rest.

These resources are vital for people who are struggling, and your generosity will help me reach more individuals and families in need. Every dollar raised will go directly toward making sure no one is left behind.
