We are delighted to announce the winner of the 'Gardeners Hamper' from yesterday at the PromArt event on the promenade as John (not our John!!) who was delighted with it when he picked it up at the end of the day.

John Entwistle
Please be assured that John is very much connected to Grange Prom Gardeners and as such is the named person on our GoFundMe account. This is why it says the money is being raised for him. Don't worry, all the money we have kindly donated to us goes directly to supporting our gardening activities on the prom. Thanks again for your generous support.

PromArt 29th June
We had a fantastic day yesterday on Grange Prom at the latest PromArt show and it was nice to chat to so many people who were visiting. We must say a huge 'THANK YOU' to everyone who helped support our endeavours by means of donations and purchases of the plants we had for sale.

And a big 'CONGRATULATIONS' to Stephen B who won the beautiful watercolour and pastel painting of the bay, which was painted by artist Hazel Smith. With thanks to everyone who purchased tickets we raised £78 for our funds. Look out for us at the next PromArt event on Sunday 27th July. We hope to see there!

THANK YOU!
We are delighted to announce that we have reached our target of £500! Thank you so much to all the wonderful people who have supported us in many ways and for all the generous donations. Rest assured that all the money we receive will go directly to the maintenance and development of the Grange Prom Gardens. Please see the photos below of our volunteer gardeners in action along the prom recently.

We are now looking at further ways to use funds we receive from public donation and hope to announce plans for future projects soon. If you would like to help support this exciting time in the development of Grange Prom Gardens we have today increased our target by another £500 to allow this.
Volunteer Gardeners in Action!
We thought you might like to see the kind of work we do when we meet up for our gardening sessions on the prom. On Wednesday 4th June we decided to improve the appearance of a section of the gardens that had become overgrown due to the recent heat and huge amounts of rain!

So a couple of our volunteers got to work on the area and after a few hours graft the results achieved can be seen in the the photo below.

We hope you agree it looks better! See if you can find it when you next visit the prom! Our plan is to introduce some plants to the area in the next few weeks to add some colour.
Our Stall at the PromArt Event!

We had a great day on Sunday 27th April at the first PromArt Event of the 2025 season and would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by for a chat and offered support and made much appreciated donations. We were delighted by the amount of people who purchased the plants we had for sale, and wish you good luck with your growings - do get in touch or come and see us on the prom if you would like any advice or guidance on your plant or anything to do with gardening.
We attempted to make some little mementos of our work and were really pleased at how many of them sold. A favourite was the fun garden barometer that we put together allowing you to decide on your gardening activity by observing a piece of string!

We are planning to attend all the PromArt events this year, with the next one being on Sunday 25th May, so come along and see us if you can and we can tell you all about our plans for the maintenance and development of the gardens along the prom.
We look forward to meeting you.

Weekly Gardening Group
Our weekly gardening groups meet every Monday and Wednesday morning to help keep the gardens along Grange-over-Sands promenade looking beautiful. If you would like to join us, feel free to have a chat - we’re a friendly bunch! As an unfunded group, we rely entirely on community support and public donations. We hope you enjoy the gardens today!
There's lots to do! Can you help?
Our volunteer gardening team meets on the prom each Monday and Wednesday morning to actively participate in gardening activities to help keep the displays looking as fabulous as possible. There are always many jobs to be done including weeding out and clearing overgrown areas, pruning and shaping bushes and trees, preparing soil for new plants and planting and caring on an ongoing basis. There are never enough hands or hours to do all the work we would like to!
Helping Hands are Always Welcome
We are a small team, always on the look out for more volunteers to join us. So if you would like to help keep the prom gardens looking great and get yourself fit at the same time, why not drop us a line via GoFundMe with a few details and we'll get back to you. Or drop by for a chat on the prom!
Another Way to Help
As a self funded volunteer gardening team we rely solely on public donations to cover the cost of our overheads along with the ongoing need for seeds, plants and tools etc for the exclusive benefit of the promenade gardens under our care. If you are able to make a donation today please know that it will be 100% used to fund our gardening activities. All staff are unpaid volunteers.
Thank you for your support. It really is appreciated.
