This past year has been incredibly difficult for us all, many of us have experienced losses that can never be replaced. As a team, we lost our beloved sister Firdous Shareef, who donated generously to our numerous projects. Many have lost jobs and have been placed in great difficulty. Some of the worst people affected during this pandemic are those from third world countries who have completely lost their livelihoods and the ability to support their families. Inshallah, we hope to raise money to be able to provide food rations to our brothers and sisters who can’t afford one meal a day.
Dr Iqbal's family and the charity APPSUKF as well as the generous support of my family and friends delivered food packs to families in the Chakwal city, Chak Khushi, Chak Malook, Rabbal, Fareed Qasar, Lehry, chakral, and Takia Shaw Murad in the north region of Pakistan.
There are 2 food packs we provide, one Large - £30 to feed a family of 6 for a month, and one small - £15 to feed a family of 3/4 for a month. The large pack contains:
Flour - 20kg
Cooking oil-3kg
Ghee - 2kg
Sugar - 3kg
Rice - 3kg
Loose tea - 500g
White channa - 2kg
Daal Moong - 1kg
Daal Masoor - 1kg
Gram flour - 3kg
Red chillies, haldi and garam masala - 1 packet each
Vermecilli - 1 large pack
Squash - 1 bottle
The small pack contains half of this amount.
You can donate your Zakat, Sadqa, Fitrana, Hadiya, Fidya, and Kaffarah, for every single penny goes to feed these people. APPSUKF has a 100% donation policy thus all management, transport and transaction costs are covered by myself as well as Dr Iqbal's family.
