Giving Back to LA has been a project of mine since December 2016. I started it with a mission of simply trying to reach a few souls in my surrounding neighborhood who had less than what I did & it bothered me that they weren't being seen. I began with fundraising within a couple of friends and family members and was able to raise a little over $300, which was more than I had asked for. The second year I did it & hopped onto GoFundMe with hopes of more exposure-- more of my friends and family began to spread the word and I was able to raise over $700, with help from a few strangers who found me on the site. The 3rd year, I raised about $1200. This year I hope that more people are willing to see the need that continues to exist and I ask that we not judge others by what they go through but to just lend a helping hand if we are more fortunate.

When people ask me why I continue to put myself in "dangerous" circumstances to help certain individuals or why I take up 2 months of my years to dedicate time to this-- I try to explain that I am not putting myself in any more danger than what they encounter daily & that my 2 months goes a long way for each individual that gets the help we give.  "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." 

Homelessness has always been an ongoing issue in my community & my hopes are that others join me in this mission. 

So I ask you, as a friend, family member, and colleague, to support me on this mission to not "end homelessness" but to just help those who are easily judged, scrutinized, ignored, & forgotten in our community.

*please note that ALL proceeds go directly towards food, water, warm clothes, & everyday necessities to all those I reach. Distribution for goods begin in December and end in January*
