The Gallagher Family, a steadfast, longstanding pillar in our communities, lost their Staatsburg home to a fire this weekend. Thankfully everyone (Candace, Brian, their two young boys, and Blue the Cat) is safe, but all of their belongings were lost, and the home is non-repairable.
Friends, families, colleagues, and community organizations have witnessed how tireless the Gallagher Family has worked for our communities daily, all the while raising their children and running a landscaping business. The Gallagher Family models a lifestyle of giving that manifests their belief--
--our communities can (and should) provide for one another year-round.
Now let's pay it forward and relieve this insurmountable financial burden of rebuilding their lives.
More About (just some of) the Family's Community Involvement:
The Gallagher family founded Pollinator Patrol, a local environmental, action-centered education program. They tirelessly organized funds for local food pantries in Staatsburg, Hyde Park, and Rhinebeck. The family facilitated garden programs for the Staatsburg and Starr Libraries. Candace actively organized with Rhinebeck Responds. She spearheaded garden creations and maintenance in the CVS greenspace in Rhinebeck Village and led a team to implement the Rhinebeck Star Art Community Art Walk. This is not an exhaustive list.
