Update: We are deeply saddened to share that Gene passed away on January 24th. Please check the “Updates” section for additional information as we continue to share arrangements, messages, and ways to honor his memory. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, donated, and supported Gene’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
Gene has spent his life giving to others. He has dedicated himself to supporting youth in our community, guiding countless people toward healthier lives through training and nutrition, and showing up whenever someone needed help. Gene is the kind of person who consistently puts others before himself.
Now, Gene needs our help.
In October 2025, Gene underwent surgery to remove a tumor and, at the time, was hopeful he was cancer-free. Sadly, in December, he was hospitalized again, where doctors discovered the cancer had returned and metastasized rapidly and extensively. Since then, Gene has been in and out of the hospital facing intense treatments and serious complications.
Because of his condition, Gene has been unable to work. With mounting medical bills, everyday living expenses, and a child currently in college, the financial strain has become overwhelming during an already difficult fight.
Friends and family are coming together to raise funds to help cover Gene’s medical and living expenses, allowing him to focus on what matters most—his health and recovery. Jennifer is managing the GoFundMe—please reach out to her with any questions so Gene can focus on his recovery.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease one burden and show Gene that the community he has always supported is standing beside him now.
Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and support.
