Build GP Park

Riders in SoCal told me "we can build our own trails, we just need the permission." So n the spring of 2011 I began searching for a resort that would let me create a new summer program. With Big Bear banning downhill bikes, we needed somewhere to ride. After 2 years working with the forest service, my trail map and build has been approved! Gravity Pirate Park is a reality!



This is all very exciting. But now the huge task of actually building these approved trails falls on us, Gravity Pirates. We are a collection of DH riders committed to making DH riding more accessible to all. We've put on races, formed a national team, teach clinics, and promote trail maintenance all over SoCal. Proof that DH riders CAN come together to improve the sport for everyone!

We take pride in volunteering our sweat and time to make this new bike park a reality. And your volunteer help on trail would be great too! But it would be a HUGE help to have better tools, equipment, sandbags, etc. We have several miles of trail to build in very steep terrain. GP Park is already approved...but it's up to YOU how soon we'll all be riding!
