It is with great sadness and devastation that we announce the passing of Joe Matonti IV. Joe touched so many lives as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Joe suffered a traumatic brain aneurysm on Saturday, November 13, in the arms of his one true love, his wife Ali. Joe was working construction Saturday morning and stopped home quickly just to kiss his wife before going back to work. It was then he stated he wasn’t feeling well and collapsed in Ali’s arms in the driveway. Emergency services came, rushed him to Brandywine Hospital, from which he was then life-flighted to Reading Hospital. With hope for a miracle, he was quickly taken to surgery and put on life support. Joe was pronounced dead on Monday, November 15.
Joe and Ali have four children, ages 4-12. This tragedy has created a devastating and traumatic effect on their family. Especially right before the holidays. We would like to create this fund to help Ali with the medical and burial expenses she now is facing. We are hoping to get as much help for her and her four children as possible for this upcoming holiday season and beyond. If you are in the position to donate, we will forever be grateful for all generosity she receives.
Joe was an organ donor and, through the donation of his organs, is saving multiple lives. He is truly a hero and will forever be missed by all.
