Please help our family out of a crisis.

We are a family of five—my husband, our three children, and myself—along with our three dogs and two cats, facing an incredibly difficult time. This house, we’ve made into a loving HOME for our family but unfortunately, after almost 7 years of renting, our landlord has decided to sell the property. despite the house not being insured or legally registered. Not to mention this house has mold and possibly asbestos, and our children have tested positive for lead. We have holes in our ceilings and much more, such as no insulation, so our winters have been brutal. There are visible parts of the house that need fixing. And with no family or friends support and many few options, we feel helpless and sometimes even hopeless.

Our situation became even more challenging when my husband, who has always been the provider for our family, lost his job last October in 2024. He had to step away from work when our youngest daughter was hospitalized, and since then, he’s been searching for new work without success. I’m working part-time and don’t make enough to cover bills and rent. Our utility bills are piling up with shut off notices and to add on, our only car recently broke down, and its driving is now limited, making it challenging to get to work or job hunting. We’ve reached out to welfare and local programs, but so far, no one has been able to help. 

We are doing everything we can to keep our family together and provide for our kids, but we’re running out of options and time. While we would be grateful for help with a deposit for an apartment, our real hope is to raise enough for a modest house—even a fixer-upper. Owning a home would mean stability, security, and the chance to stop paying someone else’s mortgage. Most importantly, it would be something we could build, improve, and leave to our children one day. That gift to our childrens future means everything to us. We’re asking for help—not out of want, but out of desperate need.
