Our story.
On the 23rd January 2021, it was confirmed that our baby had no heartbeat.
Born on the 26th January 2021 at only 36 weeks and 2 days gestation, our daughter, our creation, our little sunflower - Frankie Marjorie Knox entered this world in silence.
We should have had a lifetime together but instead we had to cram a lifetime in three days, those devastating three days where we had to say our first hellos and our final goodbyes.
We would have NEVER got those three days if it wasn’t for a cuddle cot being available at our hospital.
What is a cuddle cot?
A cuddle cot is essentially “an extension of time”.
It is a cooling system that has been designed to fit inside a bassinet or Moses basket that helps slow down the natural changes in the body after death allowing bereaved parents the chance to make memories after their baby has passed. - The only memories that parents have are the ones that are created in hospital.
How much do cuddle cots cost?
They are expensive but it is a one-off expense.
A Cuddle Cot costs $6,500* which includes the cooling unit, basket, stand, linen, embroidery, plaques, engraving, transport and administrative costs.
