I’m reaching out for your support in a critical time for my beloved nephew, 7-year-old Braxtynn, and me. For the past three years, I have been a central figure in Braxtynn’s life, providing him with the love, stability, and care every child deserves. Unfortunately, recent events have forced me into a difficult battle to ensure his safety and well-being.

The Cause

Braxtynn is a deeply sensitive, energetic, loving, and adventurous child. He’s great at puzzles, loves traveling, enjoys making friends, and helping others. He often called me "my Ana," and we formed a very close bond. He was a light in my life, especially when I was grieving a deep loss.

Braxtynn’s mother stepped out of his life when he was just 4 months old, leaving him in the care of his paternal family. Since then, Braxtynn has been primarily looked after by his paternal grandmother and me. His father, who’s my brother, has been present physically, but his involvement has been sporadic, inconsistent, and at times neglectful. There have even been instances of emotional and physical abuse.

Just two weeks shy of his 7th birthday, Braxtynn’s dad and his partner abruptly took Braxtynn and made it very difficult to have any contact with him. They didn’t allow us to see Braxtynn in person until Friday, January 3rd, nearly three months since they took him. This has left me deeply concerned for Braxtynn’s safety. I know how important it is for Braxtynn to have a stable and nurturing environment, and I am determined to protect him from further harm.

Why the Funds are Needed

To safeguard Braxtynn’s future, I am pursuing shared custody and guardianship through legal channels. This journey involves significant costs, including:

- Attorney Fees: $10,000 for legal representation and filing petitions.

- Child Psychologist: $10,000 - $15,000 for a thorough evaluation to determine the best custody arrangement for Braxtynn’s well-being.

How the Funds Will Be Used

The funds raised will go directly towards:

- Legal Fees: Covering the cost of my attorney to ensure a strong case for shared custody and guardianship.

- Child Psychological Evaluation: Paying for a child psychologist to assess Braxtynn’s needs and provide expert recommendations for his custody arrangement.
