Hot Lunches for Low-Income Seniors

Many low-income seniors residing in Belle Haven neighborhood of Menlo Park and East Palo Alto call Menlo Park Senior Center their home away from home. They visit the Center for free or low cost services, and mainly daily hot lunches.  The meals they get at Menlo Park Senior Center is the only meal they might have all day. A $10 tax deductible donation feeds a senior continental breakfast, and hot, balanced meal for lunch, for 5 days. That's only $2/day.  Most of the seniors we serve live with such tight budgets that they can't even afford to donate any money for their lunch. Funraisers, like this, enable us to continue to provide much needed nutrition to the low income elders in the community....because nobody deserves to be hungry.
