My parents recently lost their home of thirty years in the Eaton Canyon fire. This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family, but we are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support we’ve already received.

This loss has left my parents without many of the essentials they need for day-to-day life, and their needs continue to evolve as they work to find a home.After much thought, we’ve recognized that setting up this GoFundMe is the easiest way for those who wish to help support them during this challenging time. The funds will assist with needs that might not be covered by other sources of aid.

Their home wasn’t just a house—it was where we celebrated birthdays, Fourth of July barbecues, Christmas mornings, and New Year’s Eve gumbo parties. It’s surreal to think those gatherings won’t happen there again. But my mom keeps reminding us that they truly haven’t lost “home.” Home is in the memories we hold and the love we share, and that gives us comfort even in the midst of loss.
