FIGHT FOR MYBERTIE430

This gofundme was requested by so many people. So I am starting it for my best friend who is the Mybertie430 from Tiktok.

Back in September of 2021 MyBertie obtained a Domestic Violence Restraining Order which also included a move out order for her husband. However the retired Burbank cop did not want to be separated and continually violated the protective order. In September of 2021 mybertie called the Burbank Police for help, as her husband was in the residence that he is restrained from. When the police arrived they were refusing to enforce her protective order and so she started to record video with her cell phone. After they left her home and left him in it, she decided to post the footage on social media, specifically on tiktok. The video went viral and people everywhere were upset and sent in thousands of emails and phone calls to the Burbank Police Station demanding an answer.

An internal affairs investigation was launched and the police chief came on TV and publicly apologized at a city council meeting for the way his officers "mismanaged the incident" . The internal affairs investigation found that the officers were in fact at fault and all officers that were involved, were now re-trained on how to respond to these kinds of situations. The police chief promised they could city that "in the future they will do much better".

One week later she comes home and finds him in her apt. She calls the police for help and when they arrive the husband is in the bathroom of the apartment and refuses to come out.

Instead of going in and getting him out and taking him to jail, they tell her she should stay somewhere else and they are not going in to get him out.

Shocked at this response, she asks then "who do I call to do that?"

They had no answer for her.

They start to leave, and as soon as husband realizes they are not coming in to get him, he comes out of the bathroom, cuts off all power to the apartment and attacks his wife. She is screaming for help and fighting for her life in the pitch black dark. The officers hear glass breaking and screams for help and they have to go back in to get her. However the refrigerator has been moved in front of the door now and they can't get in. They end up having to climb on to the apartment balcony and break in a sliding glass door and physically pull her out of the apartment.

He is arrested and served 4 days for this. Since this time, the story has only continued with more amd more events of Burbank police refusing to arrest him or enforce any protective orders.

After moving several times with her baby and also an older son, they finally settled in to what would be the first house her kids would have.

But...

Just 2 weeks ago he breaks in through a doggy door and when she says to leave or she will call police, he says to her...they won't believe you, I'll say I live here, you will go to jail I promise you I know how to put you there, I will tell them you hit me. Scared she doesn't not call police and instead is able to convince him to leave on his own.

However this week there was another incident where he broke into the home again, and this time she called police for help. When he saw her calling he also picked up his phone and dialed 911, she is put on hold and told they will call her back, but she insists she needs officers at her house and she goes outside to wait for them. Meanwhile he is telling the 911 operator that he has been viciously attacked by his wife in the home that they both share.

When officers arrive on scene the video clearly shows them arresting her in the first 15 seconds they are there. There was no investigation. They took her to jail for domestic violence and they let him stay right there in her house while she was taken in to the station for booking. She paid thousands of dollars in bail and then had to go home to him still in her house. (He's not still currently there anymore).
